The Real Issue (not updated since June 2008 to avoid undue embarrassment to South Korea)

What happened to Michael "Mike" White between 9:45 and 11:05pm May 10,2008?

While my main concern has been with Michael's case, I'm discovering disturbing news about many suspicious deaths of foreign ESL teachers in South Korea. All are unsolved to this day, June 25,2008. When I look further into foreign deaths, I find there are MANY more when one considers the "suicides" of Chinese, Thai, Viet, and Mongolian brides bought and brought to Korea to serve as wives. Then there are the numerous deaths that occur to the 3D visa workers, laborours working under harsh and dangerous conditions. Turns out, foreign deaths of suspicion are quite common in Korea after all.

Foreign English Teacher Found Dead in Apartment

June 20, 2008

Korea Beat broke the news to the expat community by translating this article from the ChosunIlbo. this is a repost of the Korea Beat blog.

  At approximately 9 am on the 20th, 31-year old American English instructor T was found dead in the teacher’s one-room apartment in Eoyang-dong, Iksan City in Jeollabuk-do. Police are investigating.

The neighbor who alerted police said, “there had been a strange smell coming out for several days and finally I called the police.”

Police announced, “at the time of the discovery of the body the front door was locked, and the body was lying on the floor with no external injuries,” and are attempting to ascertain the circumstances of death by interviewing the employees of the hagwon where T was working.

{as yet, I've not heard anymore news nor the proper name of American "T"}
